November 26, 2007 But it Does Get Worse

BFF: Good Day, when would be a good time to come by and pick up the various trophies and plaques that I left at your house?
me: Tonight, tomorrow night, possibly Thursday night, possibly Sat or Sun afternoon?
me: Any of those work for you?
him: What time tonight is most convenient for you?
me: I can let you know when I get out of class. It will be sometime between 8:30 and 9:30.
him: That sounds convenient enough.

So at 8:52 tonight:

me: Got out early. On my way home now.

And at 9:46:

me: So... are you coming or what?

No answer on his phone...

At 10:10:

me: Look, I don't know what your deal is but I've had about enough. I'll leave your stuff in a bag on the front porch next time you say you want to come get it.
me: Oh yeah, you're friend had convinced me to talk this over with you. *Had* being the operative word. Clearly that was an error in judgment. Seeing as I don't trust you as far as I can throw you & you've given me no reason to believe otherwise, I remain done with all of this.

Finally at 10:33:

him: Yo, what is your deal? I never said I was coming over right after you go out of class. I just got a time frame for you getting out of class. What's with the over kill of anger?

me: It's annoyance not anger. And you certainly gave me the impression that you were coming over after class. Regardless, it would have been common courtesy to reply with when you intended to come over.

him: I said I would come over after you got out of class. This is after. I had to finish up some stuff. I was about to take a shower, head over there and then go to the office.

me: Well I'm going to sleep so I guess you'll have to get your stuff some other time.

him: You can't stay up 20 more minutes?

me: Fine. Anything to appease his royal highness. Is there any other way I can amend my schedule to serve you?

So I went back to the log from our earlier conversation and pasted it over to him:

me: No way I could have interpreted that to mean you were coming here when I expected you.

Supposedly he'll be here shortly at which time I'll call him out as the liar he is. Instead of telling me the truth, that he had fallen asleep, he lied and said he had to finish up some stuff. If he truly was finishing up some stuff then that means he intentionally decided not to reply to my messages. He's really screwed either way.
