And now I've got The Good Guy who is the epitome of geeks who seems ashamed to reveal his geekiness. Whenever something comes up he seems embarrassed to tell me about it. I just can't understand why.
I mean, I know that I'm a sexy, well-educated, independent woman, but he knows I used to work in computers. When he mentioned RPGs, I told him I taught my kid brother to play D&D in junior high school. When we were talking about computer games, I told him about how I used to play Unreal with all the guys at work. The day we met, we ended up having a group conversation about coding. Coding! I know how to code and he knows it. And every nearly every song on my playlist during the BBQ caused him to exclaim how awesome my playlist was! I AM SO AWESOME!
Maybe he's nervous because I am so awesome. I don't know. I just wish he would make more of an effort to spend time with me. I don't want him to spend less time with his friends. I wouldn't mind being invited to join him on occasion, however. Poor guy, he's so clueless when it comes to women. I just don't know what else I can do to move this along.

He sounds young. So do you. Relationships will be jumpy that way. Slow at times and then a weird day where... THINGS happen. I only know this from seeing all my friends in relationships.
Coding, huh? Get him to express his nerdyness (Not geek!) by placing him in a situation where the opportunity to talk about nerd stuff is just too great. Guys are sometimes easy to push like that.
Robert, you are so cute. I looked at your page. Aren't you 16? I'm quickly approaching 30. When someone tells me I look young for my age, I take it as a compliment. I'm not sure what to make of a 16 year old telling me I sound young - regardless of how mature he sounds.
